Five Star Fire serves volunteer and municipal fire departments, industrial and government agencies.  Our coverage area includes CT, MA & RI.

Our Apparatus division is proud to represent three outstanding fire apparatus line:

Sutphen Fire Apparatus is the oldest, continuously owned and operated fire apparatus manufacturers in the US. It has never been reorganized and has always been owned and operated by a Sutphen family member.

SVI Trucks based in Loveland, CO is the industries premier manufacturer of Rescue, Haz-Mat & Communication vehicles.  It"s not uncommon for their product to last 20 + years.

Toyne Fire Apparatus rounds out our apparatus offerings.  Based in Breda, IA. Toyne has been manufacturing fire bodies since 1942 in in high quality stainless steel or heavy duty aluminum.

Our Equipment division represents a wide variety of products which includes: Turnout Gear, Helmets, Gloves, Boots, Wildland/Forestry Gear, Foam, Nozzles, Monitors, LDH Appliances, Hose, Reflective Safety Equipment, Generators, Light Towers and a large assortment of hand tools.

Five Star Fire offers a full Fire Apparatus Service Center with certifications to work on Hale, Waterous & Darley fire pumps; Detroit Diesel, Caterpillar, Cummins & MBE Engines & Allison Transmissions.  We are the regional repair center for Sutphen, ALF, LTI, Snorkel and Tele-Squirt brand aerials, and offer preventative maintenance programs; fire apparatus upgrades/refurbishments and in station mobile service.  Our technicians are EVT trained.

Five Star Fire is a division of Freightliner of Hartford, the largest over the road truck sales and service facility in New England.
