Fives Landis has been manufacturing machine tools for more than 100 years.  Our manufacturing and assembly facility is located in Keighley, West Yorkshire, Great Britain; with a sister assembly facility located in Hagerstown, Maryland, USA.  
Our expertise is in the design and manufacture of precision grinding machines for markets including automotive, locomotive, power generation, construction, earth moving, compressor, pumps, and bearings, to name a few.  We specialise in producing ultra precision machinery for optics, roll grinding, hard turning and fine boring applications as well. 
To guarantee the quality and precision of our machine tools we complete all our critical machining operations, in house, at our facility in Great Britain.  This facility supplies all key components of all sizes to support our global assembly operations.  
Typically these components are the hydrostatic elements of our machine tools, with finish tolerances in the micron range. 
Our processes utilise a group of the best, most modern, CNC, speciality machine tools.  We take pride in our equipment, our processes and our know-how.  Our machines and our metrology equipment are always precisely maintained, aligned, and calibrated.  Our processes are continually improved to most efficiently achieve the highest quality.  In many cases we accomplish this with unmanned machines running very precise, secure machining and measuring processes. 
We focus on the highest end of our machining operations.   Our planning system organises our extra capacity into blocks that we can offer well in advance to valued customers.  Fives Landis are accredited with ISO9001, 14001 and 18001 quality standards.
