FKuR Kunststoff GmbH was founded in 1992 as a development institute for plastic and recycling. Themed with “Plastics – made by nature!” the FKuR Kunststoff GmbH was incorporated in 2003. 
FKuR is operating with its US subsidiary FKuR Plastics Corp. in Cedar Park, Texas since October 2009. In cooperation with the Fraunhofer Institute UMSICHT, Germany, FKuR has developed and established in the market a wide range of biodegradable plastics. 
These resins can be biobased and/or biodegradable as well as compostable according to ASTM D 6400 and EN 13432. Depending on the grade they are also suitable for contact with food. FKuR resins can be converted using conventional plastic processing machines. 
The following product portfolio is offered: 
Bio-Flex® - based on PLA for extrusion and injection molding. 
Biograde® - based on cellulose and mainly used for injection molding.
