Flamingo Holland Inc USA operates in the wholesale sector, importing and distributing flower bulbs and packaging supplies to wholesale flower growers, and it employs a small team of 2–10 people. The company traces its origins to 1984 when a West Coast cold-storage facility was developed in the United States, with Oceanside-based storage and preparation facilities and a larger Vista, California facility added in 1994 to support growth. The Vista facility houses 13 cooling rooms and five lily freezers with a capacity of 30,000 crates, and includes spaces for temperature treatments of Tulips, Freesia, Iris, Zantedeschia, Liatris, and other species. In January 2007 Flamingo Holland established an East Coast facility in Edison, New Jersey to serve the nursery and greenhouse industry, expanding its geographic reach. The company is located at 1250 Avenida Chelsea Vista, California 92081 United States and maintains a website at flamingoholland.com; it provides technical support and customized climate-zone guidance, including on-site visits to assist growers with bulb cultivation and crop improvement.
