Founded in 1978, Flightstar has proudly served as the Fixed Base Operator (FBO) at Willard Airport (KCMI) in Champaign-Urbana, Illinois, and remains the only FBO to have operated at the airport. What began as a small flight training operation with a single aircraft and three employees working from a construction trailer has grown into a premier full-service FBO and FAA Part 145 Repair Station.

Today, Flightstar employs more than 180 aviation professionals and operates one of the Midwest’s most respected aircraft maintenance and support facilities. Our campus encompasses nearly half of the airport grounds and includes a 10,000-square-foot corporate terminal and 137,000 square feet of state-of-the-art maintenance space.
