Its members operate in every county and collectively serve more than 604,000 individuals each year, with a focus on the uninsured, underinsured, and Medicaid populations. Based in Tallahassee, Florida, FBHA coordinates industry efforts within the mental health care sector and advocates for access to behavioral health services. The organization brings providers together to share best practices and support public policy initiatives affecting the field. In 2024, FBHA announced leadership for the upcoming term, electing Melissa Larkin-Skinner as chair of the Florida Council for Behavioral Healthcare, the association’s advocacy arm.
