The Florida Collegiate Summer League is a nonprofit, 501(c)(3) summer wood bat baseball league for college players that operates in Central Florida. It aligns with NCAA sanctions and features participation that has included players drafted or signed by MLB teams, with a portion reaching the Major Leagues. The league comprises six teams in the Central Florida area, though one team is city-operated rather than independently funded, and it employs college interns to support gameday operations while drawing crowds of more than 70,000 fans each summer. Based in Orlando, Florida, the organization functions within the spectator sports sector as a community-focused platform for collegiate athletes to showcase their skills during the summer. A recent collaboration noted is a partnership with the Orlando Sports Foundation to host a charity baseball event in Sanford, reflecting ongoing community engagement.
