FEHA is a nonprofit professional association that serves environmental health professionals in Florida. As an affiliate of the National Environmental Health Association, it brings together a community of hundreds of professionals dedicated to protecting the health and safety of Florida residents and visitors. The organization is based in Crestview, Florida, has a very small staff, and traces its origins to 1947 in Tampa, with incorporation in 1967. Its mandate centers on strengthening professional integrity, knowledge, and working conditions while supporting the social and economic well-being of its members. FEHA pursues these objectives through standards of conduct, a certification process with educational requirements and ongoing professional development, and the application of scientific principles, along with regular communication with members and districts. The association also promotes the profession through publications, training, and collaborations with other associations, and maintains its online presence at feha.org.
