Florida House on Capitol Hill is a hospitality venue located in Washington, District of Columbia, housed in a restored 1891 Victorian home. Founded in 1973 by Rhea Chiles, it serves visiting Floridians, students, dignitaries, elected officials, and other business visitors in a central setting. The space hosts a range of events—meetings, lobbying days, staff retreats, social receptions, intimate dinners, and press conferences—and provides access to Florida’s art collection, antique furnishings, and information about the state’s congressional delegation, supported by programs and partnerships around education, business, art, and culture.

With a small team, the organization maintains its focus on Florida-related activity in the nation’s capital. Recent collaborations include a 2025 partnership with Florida A&M University for Black History Month. In 2026, it partnered with the State Society of Florida to celebrate the state’s birthday and its addition to the United States.
