Flower City Arts Center is a community-based, not-for-profit organization in Rochester that educates and inspires people to engage with visual arts, design, and media. Founded in 1970 and housed in a historic firehouse built in 1895–1905, the center has operated as a 501(c)3 educational institution since 1974 and remains the city's only dedicated community visual arts space. It offers foundational programs across printmaking and book arts, fine arts, ceramics, photography, and digital arts, along with inclusive offerings for individuals with varying physical and mental abilities. The organization provides studio space for rent, three galleries with rotating public exhibitions, and a range of workshops, lectures, classes, entrepreneurial projects, and memberships serving the Greater Rochester Area. In early 2023, Kristin Rapp joined as executive director, reflecting recent leadership changes.
