Foley Distributing "Our Family History” Founded in 1879 by Michael Foley, Foley’s Laundry became the first of the Foley Family of Companies, offering delivery service by horse and buggy. By the 1920’s it had expanded well beyond Rutland County and employed a fleet of delivery trucks. In 1958 the linen business name changed to Foley Services and moved to its current location on State Street in Rutland, with a distribution depot in Ft. Eathan Allen in Colchester providing linen & uniform rental. In the early 70's it became obvious that many items previously rented were now being replaced by disposable items. Taking advantage of this trend, Mark Foley founded Foley Distributing Corporation in 1973 and, after many years of growth now occupies its current location, a 140,000 square foot facility on Seward Road in Rutland. Foley Distributing has grown to be the market leader in the supply of recycled paper products, compostable takeout packaging such as cups, plates, containers, napkins & cutlery; kitchen warewashing & laundry systems, hotel guest amenity items, washroom toilet tissue, paper towel & hand soap systems that reduce waste, environmentally preferred cleaning & floor care products as well as floor care & carpet care cleaning equipment sales, service and maintenance from our Foley Equipment Care division. We Service ALL BRANDS of Floor Care Equipment in our Service Department or ON YOUR SITE! Our highly trained technicians are professionally uniformed and fully insured. Our service area includes the entire State of Vermont, Western, Central and Southern New Hampshire, Upstate New York (including the Capital District) and Northern Massachusetts.
