Folkekirkens Nødhjælp, also known as DanChurchAid, is a Danish non-profit focused on helping the world’s poorest people achieve a life of dignity. Its international work spans humanitarian aid and development across 13 country offices in Europe, Africa, Asia, and South America, with headquarters in Copenhagen. The Copenhagen office is organized into four departments: General Secretariat, Engagement, International, and Finance, and the organization provides assistance without regard to religion, gender, political beliefs, race, origin, disability, or sexual orientation. It operates internationally from its base in Copenhagen. In 2016, it launched WeFood, Denmark’s first surplus food supermarket.
