Food Donation Connection coordinates surplus prepared food from restaurant partners to charitable organizations. Based in Knoxville, Tennessee, the company grew from a single donor partner in 1992 to a global network that includes hundreds of partner companies and thousands of donating locations across North America, Europe, Asia, and South America. It provides nutritious surplus food to more than 10,000 charities and emphasizes strengths in donation logistics, tax incentives, and food safety. Its customers and collaborators are restaurant brands and other food-service operators looking to reduce waste by linking surplus meals with local hunger-relief groups. In 2026, the organization announced partnerships with major chains, such as Chick-fil-A, illustrating continued expansion of its donor network.
