Food Well Alliance is a nonprofit network that connects local leaders to build community gardens and urban farms across metro Atlanta. Its mission is to provide resources and support to local growers to connect and build healthier communities, working toward an equitable local food ecosystem in which all residents can participate and benefit. The initiative traces back to 2015, when Jim Kennedy and Bill Bolling proposed a collaborative approach to strengthen the regional food movement. The organization supports more than 120 gardens and 35 urban farms across Fulton, DeKalb, Cobb, Gwinnett, and Clayton counties and is based in Atlanta, Georgia, with a small-to-mid-sized staff. Its programs are organized into a Resource Center, which offers knowledge, volunteer labor, compost, tools and equipment, and capacity-building grants, and a Policy & Planning effort that partners with local government and the Atlanta Regional Commission to integrate urban agriculture into city planning; in 2026 it expanded collaboration with Kroger and Delta Community Credit Union to advance Atlanta's urban agriculture initiatives.
