Founded in 2010, the Foot & Ankle Institute is a national and international recognized centre of excellence dedicated to advanced diagnosis and treatments of common and complex foot and ankle disorders. The Foot & Ankle Institute integrates several medical and paramedical disciplines with the desire to provide optimal diagnosis and treatment to our patients.

The Foot & Ankle Institute has a top rated team of orthopaedic surgeons who are all specialized in this field for several years and are very actively involved – both nationally and internationally – in training of residents, organizing conferences and giving lectures. Our surgeons are involved in the development of innovative approaches to improve significantly patient care. They are also authors of a well-respected book onto the foot and ankle disorders (Pathologie du Pied et de la Cheville).

Our Department of Radiology offers comprehensive, state-of-the-art diagnostic radiology and image-guided interventional services.The department communicate with their referrers with new tools (multimedia report and secured web applications) in order to better serve our physicians and patients.

Our Institute has recently developed a state-of-the-art gait laboratory for the measurement of the foot and lower limb dynamics. This advanced clinical examination platform provides leading-edge support to health professionals treating a range of movement disorders. This platform is composed of a state-of-the-art biomechanical technology to gather detailed data on movement patterns during walking in patients. 

The Foot & Ankle Institute has a strong commitment to clinical and translational research. Our top priorities include improving patient care and continuing the development of new knowledge in complex foot and ankle disorders to surpass the boundaries of current health care. Our research results are disseminated through patient-oriented and scientific publications in national and international peer-reviewed journals.
