Foothills Park & Recreation District is a public agency in the Littleton area of Colorado that oversees recreational facilities and programs. Founded in 1959 as South Jeffco Metropolitan Recreation and Park District and renamed in 1970, it serves about 90,000 residents across roughly 24.2 square miles and offers more than 4,000 programs annually for all ages. Its facilities include three recreation centers, an ice arena, multiple indoor and outdoor pools, and indoor sports venues. The district's land portfolio spans over 2,400 acres across 68 park sites, including four regional parks, 43 neighborhood and community parks, 21 greenbelts, and two golf courses (two 18-hole courses, one executive 9-hole course, and one par-3 course). It maintains about 14.9 miles of regional trail corridors and roughly 17.6 miles of internal park trails within its service area, which sits within unincorporated Jefferson County. In 2020, the Colorado Parks and Recreation Association awarded Foothills the Columbine Award for Park Renovation Design.
