Forgotten Harvest is a nonprofit organization formed in 1990 to address hunger and food waste in the Metro Detroit area. It collects surplus prepared and perishable food from about 800 sources, including grocery stores, markets, restaurants, caterers, dairies, farmers, and distributors, and rescues and distributes this food to emergency food providers.
