The Fort Lupton Fire Protection District in Fort Lupton, Colorado operates as a combination fire department, staffed by career firefighters, volunteers, and administrative and maintenance personnel. It provides 24-hour emergency response from three stations, ensuring continuous coverage for the district. The department maintains a specialized training program that covers technical rescue, hazardous materials response, rope and ice rescues, swift-water rescue, vehicle extrication, and incident command. Medical services include Basic Life Support, with Advanced Life Support provided by Platte Valley Ambulance Service at Fire Station 1, staffed by a paramedic and an EMT. In addition, the district partners with nearby agencies for backup ALS, coordinates air transport via a Med Evac helicopter based in Greeley, and, in April 2024, Platte Valley Ambulance Service joined a partnership to serve residents across roughly 88 square miles, supported by an ISO Public Protection Class rating of Class 2/10.
