Fostering Media Connections (FMC) is a Los Angeles-based nonprofit organization that uses media and journalism to address issues facing children, youth, and families in America. It operates four programs designed to inform the public, train youth with lived experience, and provide resources to families involved with child welfare and youth justice. The Imprint is a national online news outlet produced by a diverse group of staff reporters and freelancers, covering the people, policies and practices surrounding foster care and criminal courts. Youth Voices Rising provides media training for youth with lived experience in foster care, the juvenile justice system, or homelessness. Fostering Families Today is a bi-monthly resource magazine distributed to foster, adoptive, and kinship families across the United States, and SafeCamp Audio is a podcast network on child welfare, youth justice and youth homelessness that launched in 2020 and now hosts twelve regular and limited-series shows.
