The Foston Institute for Holistic Mentoring is a training, publishing, and consulting company, whose mission is to guide as many people to adulthood as possible. Our motto is  'before healing others, you must first heal yourself". So the first tenet of Holistic Mentoring is that the mentor has to be farther along on their journey to wholeness, than the youth they are trying to help.  Holistic Mentoring is the treatment for the Addiction to Hopelessness  that has affected our young people in epidemic proportions. Each adolescent has at least one unique gift that needs to be nurtured as the focal point throughout their journey through adolescence. Too many adults have not found their own unique gifts and are not prepared to nurture our youth.   Holistic Mentoring is a two-step process that prepares the adult to be able to mentor our young people. Our goal is to train at least 1000 holistic mentors a year to work as effectively with young people as Dr. Foston does. All of her books, DVD's , movies and other training materials  are designed to enhance both her in-person and on-line training experience.
