Foundry Lighting operates in the retail space as a resource for luxury lighting, mirrors, and occasional furniture. Its catalog covers designs from classic and mid-century to contemporary, including a European collection handcrafted by artisans in Spain, Italy, Portugal, and Germany, while also wholesaling to the trade.

Foundry's roots trace back to Hollywood, California, where it was established in 1947 as Academy Lamps and has served interior designers and architects as a trade resource. For more than twenty years, the company produced outdoor lighting and wrought-iron chandeliers at its California workshop. Today the firm is based in New York and maintains showrooms in New York and Los Angeles, with a website at foundrylighting.com.
