Frances May is a Portland-based retail boutique that began in 2008 as a joint venture between grandmother Connie Codding and granddaughter Pamela Baker-Miller. The store initially focused on curated women's apparel and expanded to include menswear in 2009 following customer interest. It stocks hard-to-find items from both established and independent designers, creating a distinctive, curated collection. In 2014, the business relocated one door down into a larger space within a vintage rug shop, gaining additional room for offices and a photo studio. A small team oversees the storefront, develops content for the web, handles shipping, and provides related services from its Portland base.
