The Frances Payne Bolton School of Nursing (FPB) at Case Western Reserve University is a globally recognized leader in nursing education and research.

FPB pioneered the world's first nursing doctorate in clinical practice, which led to the creation of the Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP) degree, now industry standard for nurses who want to pursue a clinical doctorate. FPB is home to the third nursing PhD program in the U.S. that continues to lead innovative research that has a profound effect on the science of nursing and changing healthcare. 

Our prelicensure curriculum is rooted in immersive, practical education designed to give students real-world experience that complements their classroom education. This experience-driven focus prepares FPB graduates to enter the nursing profession.
