The Franklin Land Trust (FLT) is a 501(c)3 nonprofit organization dedicated to helping people preserve the places they love. Since 1987, we’ve partnered with farmers and landowners to protect over 35,000 acres of farmland, forests, and wildlife habitat. FLT has helped hundreds of families craft conservation plans that address their financial goals, family needs, and vision for the land’s future. Our work sustains the region’s agricultural and forestry economy while preserving its scenic beauty, rural character, and ecological integrity for generations to come. Our commitment to community comes to life each year at the Deerfield Dirt-Road Randonnee (D2R2), a world-class cycling event hailed as one of the most challenging and beautiful rides in the country. D2R2 celebrates the beauty of our hilltowns while raising essential funds to support FLT’s ongoing conservation and stewardship efforts.
