Our mission is:
 
To support and defend the Constitution of the United States and the Constitution of the State of Kansas; to inculcate loyalty and allegiance to the United States of America; to promote and foster the enforcement of law and order; to improve the individual and collective proficiency of our members in the performance of their duties; to encourage fraternal, educational, charitable and social activities among law enforcement officers; to negotiate collectively with the City of Wichita in the determination of terms and conditions of employment, and act as the exclusive bargaining agent on behalf of all members of the bargaining unit; to support the improvement of the standard of living and working conditions of the bargaining unit through every legal and ethical means available; to propose, support and promote legislation favorable to law enforcement officers and the good of the public; to give aid and assistance to law enforcement officers and police associations wherever possible; to increase the efficiency of the enforcement of law in the City of Wichita and thus more firmly to establish the confidence of the public in the service dedicated to the protection of life and property.
