Freedom Service Dogs of America is a nonprofit organization based in Englewood, Colorado, founded in 1987. It purpose-breeds and custom-trains service dogs, therapy dogs, and skilled companion dogs for veterans and first responders with PTSD or traumatic brain injuries, young adults with autism, people with mobility challenges, and mental health professionals. As an accredited Assistance Dogs International organization, it maintains high standards for training, client service, and dog health and wellbeing, and provides lifetime services at no cost to those it serves. Since its establishment, the organization has partnered hundreds of individuals with service dogs and offers lifetime support at no charge. In October 2020, AnnieMac Home Mortgage partnered with Freedom Service Dogs to sponsor the training of service dogs for fellow veterans.
