Freight Management and Logistics (FML) provides origin to destination logistical management services that include vessel chartering, container ocean freight, stevedoring, barge transportation, flat bed, bulk, and container truck services, rail, as well as barge and vessel surveying/cargo handling supervision.  In 2018, FML opened a new warehousing facility serving the Port of Houston and surrounding areas. 

In 2008 FML supplied over 600 covered and open hopper barges for the transportation of 1,500,000 net tons of imported and domestic steel products. Such products include flat rolled, wire rod, plates, structural, bars, slabs, billets, as well as bulk products.

FML also offers to its domestic, import and export shipping partners, an experienced staff of barge and vessel surveyors to oversee the loading or unloading of steel and bulk products. FML continues to generate significant cost savings for our customer partners through the watchful and experienced eyes of our New Orleans based logistical management staff. 

FML assumes the day to day logistical management requirements for our shipping partners, negotiating the most competitive rates and modes of service while providing you with concise and up to the minute real time reports for transit, inventories, and delivery of your product to final destination.

FML provides flat bed, bulk, container, and van truck services and offers services to and from the Mid-West, East Coast, Southeast, the Gulf Coast and Southwestern United States via a fleet of company owned, independent owners and brokered suppliers. 

FML provides on site stevedoring services for the loading and discharging of steel or bulk products to or from barge at the producer’s facility as well as assisting in inventory management.

With 140,000 square feet of warehouse and 10 acres of open laydown area, FML is pleased to provide the following services to our clients: general commodities warehousing, a Container Freight Station, rail transloading, bulk transfer and bagging, local and regional trucking, container drayage, and freight consolidation. Our state-of-the-art warehouse is positioned to service steel, metals, lumber, project cargo, paper, cotton, general cargo, and free flowing bulk.
