Frutero Ice Cream produces tropical fruit ice creams intended to evoke a sense of a tropical getaway with every bite. The venture emerged after co-founders Mike and Vedant visited India in 2019, and the business is based in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. The company pursues a global fruit sourcing approach, testing numerous varieties to select those that best express each fruit in frozen form. It operates within the Food and Beverage Services industry and targets customers seeking flavors beyond traditional ice cream in a tropical fruit profile. The founders observe broad appeal for tropical fruits across regions such as Latin America and Southeast Asia, and they note that many US-born consumers have not yet tasted these fruits, indicating a potential market expansion.
