FTK is a mid-sized software development company based in Yekaterinburg, Sverdlovsk Oblast, Russia, focused on language software solutions for the Indian market. Its flagship product, LooKeys, provides a twelve-language data-entry capability encompassing about 3,000 letters and combinations, based on patented prediction algorithms, aimed at removing the barrier created by the lack of Indian language keyboards and enabling users to work with computers in their mother tongue. The platform has been adopted by major Indian technology and services firms such as Wipro, HCL, Educomp, Sify and HP. LooKeys Pro expands the option to enter data by detecting real-time hand movements through a webcam, enabling input via simulated virtual hands. The description notes that the technology could broaden computer access for hundreds of millions of middle-class Indians who would gain both the means and the incentive to use computers.
