Fulbright Canada is a small- to mid-sized nonprofit organization that administers education exchange programs between Canada and the United States. Established in 1990, it operates as a bi-national, treaty-based, non-governmental entity with a mandate to identify outstanding minds in both countries and connect them through residential, academic, and professional exchanges. The organization is based in Ottawa, Ontario, and operates within the education administration sector to facilitate cross-border scholarly activity.

Its programs support a broad audience—students at various stages, graduate students, scholars, teachers, and independent researchers—across the sciences, social sciences, and humanities, with medical training excluded. In 2026 the organization expanded governance and programs, announcing new appointments to its Board of Directors in May and launching the 2026 Community Action Program in February, reflecting ongoing activities and external partnerships.
