Furkids Animal Rescue & Shelters operates as a nonprofit veterinary services organization based in the Atlanta area, founding its work in 2002 to rescue homeless animals and provide them with medical care and nurturing environments. It runs the largest cage-free, no-kill shelter for rescued cats in the Southeast and supports dogs through Sadie’s Place, with a network of shelters, adoption centers, foster homes, and four thrift stores that help fund lifesaving activities. The organization serves the local community by facilitating adoptions, fostering, and medical care for animals, and expands its reach through partnerships with adoption centers in pet retail locations. Its program footprint includes on-site facilities, a broad foster network, and community outreach to promote animal welfare. A notable development in recent years includes the opening of a new adoption and community resource center as part of its relocation and growth efforts.
