FynBus is a Danish transportation organization based in Odense in the South Denmark region. It plans and coordinates bus services for Region Syddanmark and the nine municipalities on Funen and Langeland, advising owners on optimal scheduling and producing the timetables. Routes are ordered by the regional and municipal owners from FynBus, while the actual service is delivered by a contracted operator with its own buses and drivers; the owners also set passenger fares. In addition to standard bus service, FynBus coordinates Flextrafik, which covers transport for mobility-impaired travelers, student transport, activity and rehabilitation transport, and medical transport. Governance is provided by a board composed of owner representatives, which determines framework matters including how passengers are charged.
