G Plan is a mid-sized furniture manufacturer based in Berryfield, England, specializing in upholstered seating and related home furnishings. It ranks among the United Kingdom’s largest upholstery producers, with a focus on sofas that combine comfort with enduring quality. The business traces its roots to 1898, when Ebenezer Gomme began crafting handcrafted furniture; in 1953 his grandson Donald Gomme renamed the company E Gomme Ltd, giving rise to the G Plan brand. Over the years, G Plan has developed lines influenced by mid-century design, including G Plan Vintage, launched in 2012 in collaboration with Hemingway Design, and G Plan Edit, introduced in 2016. Its customer base consists of consumers seeking stylish, durable seating that fits contemporary living spaces, underpinned by a long-standing emphasis on quality. In 2025 the company expanded its offering with the G Plan Heat range and welcomed Danish designer Ib Kofod Larsen to strengthen its design capabilities.
