Gachon University is a higher education institution located in Sŏngnam, Gyeonggi Province, South Korea. The current university structure results from the merger of four institutions, with mergers occurring in 2007 (Gachon University of Medicine and Science and Gachon-gil College; Kyungwon University and Kyungwon College) and in 2012 (Gachon University of Medicine and Science and Kyungwon University). The university operates three undergraduate campuses, with the Global Campus in Seongnam as the primary campus, satellite campuses on Ganghwa Island and in Yeonsu-dong, and a School of Medicine in Incheon. It has an international partnership with Hawaii Pacific University to support study abroad opportunities for students. Recent collaborations include a hydrocolloid-based wearable OLED platform developed in partnership with Kyung Hee University, and a joint semiconductor technology bachelor’s program with FPT Group launched in 2026 under a 2+2 model.
