Galbraiths, a respected shipbroking company, made a public announcement in November 2022 about its plan to join forces with IFCHOR, a well-known shipbroker. In January 2023, the merger agreement was signed, and by June 2023, IFCHOR GALBRAITHS completed the successful integration, uniting over 20 offices and a diverse team of 300+ professionals.

Galbraiths, with a rich history dating back to 1847, has grown into a prominent shipbroking company based in London. Over the years, Galbraiths ventured into ship ownership, joined Matthews Wrightson Group in 1968, and underwent a successful management buy-out in 1987. Pre-merger, Galbraiths held a strong position as a leading tanker brokerage with a respected Sale and Purchase business, operating globally with a team of over 100 personnel.

IFCHOR, founded in 1977 in Lausanne, Switzerland, has established itself as a global leader in shipbroking, specializing in dry bulk, tankers, and S&P markets. With a dedicated workforce of approximately 200 personnel, IFCHOR has expanded its operations worldwide, offering cutting-edge research, advisory services, and innovative solutions in sustainability and offshore renewables.
