Gallo Worldwide is a joint venture between Unilever and Sociedade Francisco Manuel dos Santos, owner of the Gallo brand, founded in Portugal in 1919 by Victor Guedes. Based in Lisbon, the company produces olive oil and also ventures into vinegar, spicy sauces, and table olives, all underpinned by a focus on quality and authentic flavor. It is positioned as the leading Portuguese olive oil brand globally, ranking among the top four worldwide. Its products are used in households across more than 40 countries, reflecting a four-generation presence in kitchens and on tables. A notable recent development is the 2021 launch of a Piri-Piri extra-strong sauce made with organic olive oil and intense chilies.
