Garrett Popcorn Shops is a Chicago-based maker and retailer of gourmet popcorn with a history dating back to 1949. The company emphasizes wholesome ingredients and family recipes that have been handed down through generations, producing kernels that are non-GMO and custom-grown, first hot-air popped and then finished in copper kettles with flavor. Its small-batch approach is designed to preserve freshness by preparing batches throughout the day. The product lineup features both seasonal offerings and core flavors such as CaramelCrisp, CheeseCorn, Buttery (a vegan option), Plain, and Garrett Mix, the Chicago-style blend. The brand operates 13 stores in Chicago and maintains additional shops in several U.S. cities and international markets. Its audience includes snack lovers and consumers seeking premium, handcrafted popcorn experiences across domestic and international markets. Within the food and beverage services industry, Garrett Popcorn Shops positions itself as a specialty popcorn maker known for traditional preparation methods and signature flavor profiles. While rooted in Chicago, the company maintains a global footprint through locations beyond its hometown. A recent development is a collaboration announced in April 2026 with Mike's Hot Honey to introduce new flavor combinations.
