GBR Architects was founded 1978 with a commitment to realizing enduring architecture that celebrates both creativity and tradition. We continue that specialty with a body of institutional work focused on schools, embassies, colleges, local governments and non-profits. Originally founded in Washington, DC, the firm’s offices have been in Alexandria, Virginia since 1994. Historic preservation has always been an integral aspect of our work and our thinking.
