The General Building Contractors Association (GBCA) is the most recognized liaison between management and labor. Its influence spans 19 counties throughout PA, DE and MD and affect the lives of thousand of trades people. It holds trusteeships on 15 Health, Welfare, Pension, Vacation and Apprenticeship Funds.

Construction related classes are available tuition-free to employees of GBCA members and IAP (Industry Advancement Program) contributors. Classes are offered at the areas most respected learning institutions and are tailored towards personnel in both the office and field.

The GBCA Safety Department handles member's needs to ensure a safe job every time through Occupational Safety & Health Administration (OSHA) courses, & safety seminars.

GBCA Government Affairs helps realize the legislative priorities facing the construction industry. The Department works both in Harrisburg and Washington to protect members’ interests. The Government Affairs Department helps the Association set legislative priorities while ensuring that GBCA members have a voice in drafting the GBCA’s policy agenda.

Ask any member his or her top three reasons for joining GBCA, and you will hear the word “networking” somewhere in that list. GBCA is a connector in the construction industry, and as such provides a complete schedule of networking events and activities throughout the calendar year.
