General Metal Fabrication Ltd. began operations in 1985 in a 2000 sq. ft. shop. It has expanded to over 34,000 sq. ft. of shop area and yet remains a family owned company that focuses on customer satisfaction every day.

Over the years we have continually invested in equipment to meet the needs of our very diversified client base. We have one of the largest custom machine shops in southern Manitoba that is equipped with conventional machines for repair and maintenance work, and CNC lathes, mills, and a large boring mill for production runs. Our cutting and forming department is also equipped with CNC brakes to ensure quality in our fabricated components.

Our welding facility is CWB certified for structural work, aluminum and stainless steel projects. We have the capabilities to do intricate aluminum and stainless work in our specialized TIG welding department all the way up to heavy construction projects by our skilled staff in our welding shop.

General Metal has experience in a variety of sectors. We work for the agricultural, mining and construction, oilfield, medical, waste handling and transportation industries which gives us the broad scope of experience to meet any requirement that we may be challenged with.

Additionally we specialize in producing equipment for handling and transporting potatoes under our BAU-MAN brand, as well as manufacturing mower and snowblower components under our EVEREST brand with the same quality and attention to detail that has been part of our tradition for 40 years.
