Generation One, Inc. is an education-focused organization based in Houston, Texas, with a community-centered approach in the Third Ward. For more than 19 years, the organization has carried out revitalization projects and sponsored events to raise awareness of local needs and help residents envision a transformed, hopeful, and productive neighborhood. In 2013 it established Generation One Academy, a school offering year-round classes along with an after-school and summer program, plus training for parents and guardians to support children and sustain community change.
