Genesis LA’s mission is to deliver financial solutions that advance economic and social opportunities in underserved communities. We work with nonprofits, small businesses, and women and minority-owned enterprises, by delivering capital which builds capacity and transforms communities. We believe that community development finance requires close collaboration between lenders and the organizations working on the ground in underserved communities. Therefore, we work hands-on with nonprofits, small businesses, and women and minority-owned enterprises, by blending our financial products with capacity building efforts so that we can more effectively transform underserved communities. This strategic approach is designed to grow and strengthen organizations that serve our Los Angeles market, yet struggle to access the capital they need to expand their delivery of goods and services. Our business model focuses on providing innovative financial solutions for these types of borrowers and their projects, with the goal of growing the next generation of community development infrastructure within Los Angeles County and providing opportunity for new community development models to be tested and hopefully expanded.
