The Water Safety Patrol is a private, non-profit organization founded in 1920 by Simeon B. Chapin. Its mission is to keep Geneva Lake safe and enjoyable for all. The patrol is made up of three main branches: 1. Lifeguarding 2. Educational Programs (including Swimming Lessons and Boating Safety Classes) 3. Boat Patrol Funding for the Patrol comes largely from annual individual contributions thanks to people who share a common concern for safety on Geneva Lake.
