Genting Plantations Berhad, based in Kuala Lumpur, operates as the plantation arm of Genting Berhad and is a mid-sized Malaysian agribusiness. Founded in 1980 and listed on Bursa Malaysia in 1982, the company spans plantations, property development, and AgTech research. The Plantation Division runs oil palm estates and mills across Peninsular Malaysia, Sabah, and Indonesia, with about 66,000 hectares of Malaysian land and 162,000 hectares in Indonesia developed through joint ventures. It operates nine mills with a combined capacity of 405 metric tonnes per hour and is a member of the RSPO, reflecting a commitment to sustainable palm oil production. In addition to cultivation, the Property Division develops residential and commercial projects on its landbank in Kedah, Melaka, and Johor, and Genting Property Sdn Bhd has launched the 930.8-hectare Johor Tech Smart City project; the AgTech Division advances genomics-based crop-improvement solutions through its subsidiaries ACGT and Genting Green Tech.
