Founded in 1920 Geneva Airport (Genève Aéroport) is one of the oldest airports in the world. It accompanied the beginnings of aviation and contributed to the growth of the city as a major diplomatic capital. In 2019, more than 17 million passengers used this infrastructure. Property of the State of Geneva, Genève Aéroport is an autonomous public institution since 1994. The company employs more than 1,000 staff members in nearly 200 different functions.
