The George Eastman Museum is a United States-based cultural institution focused on photography, film, and related technologies, located on the historic estate of George Eastman in Rochester, New York, and founded in 1947. It is the world's oldest photography museum and one of the largest film archives in the United States, with holdings including more than 400,000 photographs and 31,000 motion picture films, along with a leading collection of photographic and cinematographic technology and related libraries and documents.
