The Georgia Association of Water Professionals (GAWP) is a not-for-profit association focused on educating and assisting those who work to manage and protect Georgia’s water resources. It provides professional development and works to promote sound public policy in the water resources sector and related environmental fields. Based in Marietta, Georgia, the organization operates within the professional training and coaching space and serves as a resource for both the media and the public. 

Its membership encompasses a broad cross-section of stakeholders, including water and wastewater plant operators and managers, municipal and industrial officials and environmental managers, civil and environmental engineers and scientists, manufacturers and their representatives, contractors, elected officials, and others with an interest in Georgia’s water resources. The group also includes professionals who implement state and federal water supply, protection, and resource laws and regulations. GAWP hosts events such as a Fall Conference and an Annual Conference; recent notes reference attendance at the Fall Conference in 2025 and recognitions awarded at the Annual Conference, illustrating ongoing activity and engagement in the water sector.
