The Georgia Business Council (GBC) is a nonprofit organization founded in 1975 to strengthen Georgia’s small business economy and connect supplier-ready enterprises to corporate and government opportunities. Through its national affiliation, GBC remains one of the largest Councils in the National Minority Supplier Development Council network. Through its educational nonprofit arm, the Georgia Education Foundation (GEF), it equips small businesses with the education and tools needed to compete, scale and succeed long term. The GBC forms a powerful ecosystem that supports both sides of the marketplace—preparing small businesses to compete and helping corporations and public agencies identify qualified, supplier-ready firms. The Council serves as a trusted, one-stop platform for business development, supplier engagement, and strategic connection across Georgia’s economy. Mission The Georgia Business Council develops, convenes, and advocates to advance small business development and supplier readiness across Georgia. Through education, strategic partnerships, and access to resources, the Council strengthens enterprises, supports resilient supply chains and drives sustainable economic growth statewide.
