Georgia Justice Project is a mid-sized nonprofit in the legal services sector, based in Atlanta, Georgia. It provides holistic criminal defense by combining legal representation with social services and handles criminal-record issues at no charge while traveling statewide to educate individuals and service providers. Serving low-income Georgians affected by the criminal justice system for more than 35 years, GJP works to remove barriers to employment, housing, and other opportunities for people with criminal records. Its advocacy has contributed to the passage of around 20 Georgia laws. In 2022, the organization launched Restorative Justice Georgia to introduce restorative practices to address felony offenses.
