The Georgia State Golf Association is a mid-sized organization serving the amateur golf community in Georgia. Based in Atlanta, it provides handicapping and course-rating services and administers a comprehensive schedule of statewide competitions for men and women of all ages, supporting nearly 340 member clubs and about 75,000 individual members. Its activities extend to a summer junior sectional program, a member magazine, and programs recognizing members, as well as managing the Georgia Golf Hall of Fame and a charitable foundation that administers college scholarships. Founded in 1916 with an official charter in 1924, the association has grown into a sizable state-level amateur golf organization. In February 2023, Ralph Stokes of Marietta was elected president for a one-year term.
